Applications open for the 2019/2020 Innovation Challenge. Sign up for one (1) 15 minute time block to pitch your idea in the semi-finals. Applications are due by December 8th by 9:00 PM.

Times to sign up:

Monday, December 9th from 6:00pm to 9:00pm

Tuesday, December, 10th from 6:00pm to 9:00pm

Wednesday, December, 11th from 6:00pm to 9:00pm

Criteria for applicants:

Eligible Participants 

  • Any traditional undergraduate, non traditional undergraduate, or graduate student enrolled in any Regis University program including; 

    • Anderson College of Business 

    • College of Contemporary Liberal Studies 

    • College of Computer and Information  Studies 

    • Rueckert-Hartman College for Health Professionals 

    • Regis College 

  • Any community member who wishes to participate in the Innovation Challenge is required to recruit a current Regis University student (listed above)

  • Any current Regis University Faculty

  • Any Regis University Alumni 

  • Any past participants of the Innovation Challenge 

Ineligible for the Innovation Challenge

  • Any business that has a total revenue of $50,000 prior to entering the Innovation Challenge

The CLIMB Applications Due

THE CLIMB is a business development event series for all collegiate startups based in Colorado that culminates with THE CLIMB | Pitch Night on April 25th @ The Curtis. Past CLIMB winners includes teams like, Vita Inclinata Technologies (CU Denver, CU Boulder, Mines), Lithic Nutrition (CU Boulder), Living Ink Technologies (CSU), Rosenberg Bagels (CU Denver), and more.

Why: Students can win a first place prize of $7500, second place $2,500 and People’s Choice $1,000. In addition, a full package of in-kind services will be awarded to winners including legal, association memberships and more.

Speaking of applications. I could use some online reviewers, if anyone is interested. Online evaluations will take place from March 25-April 2. Reviewers evaluate and score up to 3 online applications. Includes a 60-90 second pitch video and 3 page executive summary for an early student startup. Scoring metrics and reviews are all done online through virtual ReviewR platform. Scores will be used to select top 6 finalist for Pitch Night on April 25th. THE ROCKY MOUNTAIN VETERAN PITCH COMPETITION APPLICATION DEADLINE IS EXTENDED TO OCTOBER 10th, 2018!

 

As some of you may have heard, Rocky Mountain Vets, in conjunction with the Commons on Champa, will be hosting the Rocky Mountain Veteran Pitch Competitionon November 12, 2018 (Veterans Day Observed).  This event is for veteran/veteranspouse-owned businesses who are interested in competing for a $25,000 grand prize (in the form of a grant).   The spirit of this event is to support veteran/veteran spouse-owned businesses in the State of Colorado.  Therefore, to be eligible to be selected as a finalist in the 2018 Rocky Mountain Veteran Pitch Competition, applicants must meet the following requirements

  1. You must be a veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces or The National Guard or be a spouse of a veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces or The National Guard.

  2. The business or concept submitted in the application must be headquartered in Colorado or the applicant must be a resident of Colorado.

  3. The business or concept submitted in the application must be less than four (4) years old (as documented by registration forms or articles of incorporation dated within the last 4 years).

  4. The applicant must have raised less than $1.5 million total on behalf of the business/concept submitted.

  5. All businesses must be owned or co-owned by a veteran or a spouse of a veteran. Although 51% ownership is not required, a veteran or spouse of a veteran must be a founder of or have a controlling interest in the company.  If a founder, for example, took on VC funds and lost majority ownership, the founder will still be eligible to compete.
