Each year, the Innovation Center of the Anderson College of Business hosts the Regis Innovation Challenge, the University's annual business competition. The Challenge is offered to all Regis University students, faculty, staff and community members. Business students run and manage the 8 month-long event working with the Director of the Innovation Center. We are looking for business students to fill the following important roles for next year's Innovation Challenge staff.


 

Student Director Needed

The Regis University Innovation Center is on a mission to help further develop successful businesses that the world needs. We’re looking for a Student Director to take what we’ve created to another level.

As a Student Director, and an early member of the team, you will help us shape the entire program development process. You’ll also be the lead person to connect with alumni, corporate sponsors, mentors and competitors, so we’re looking for a strong communicator who demonstrates a natural ability to get stuff done, MacGyver-like resourcefulness, and a thirst for grit.
 The student director is equal parts strategist, marketer, connector, event coordinator, web designer, and communicator. This person needs to see large pictures and have the desire to create something meaningful that will last past their own time at Regis.

We are search of a business student who is ready to lead, can work with a team of faculty, staff and other students to build and host something meaningful. This person will need an attention to detail, the ability to influence others, a mind for marketing, a personal network beyond the university, a willingness to ask for participation, and the technical know-how for web development, maintenance, and tactful social media communication. Strong written and oral communication skills absolutely necessary.

This will be a year-long position with varying hours based upon the cyclic nature of hosting such a large annual competition. A desire to be flexible, establish consistent presence and try new things with a 'get stuff done' attitude desired. This position is only open to Anderson College of Business students. Workstudy award desired. This person will work closely with the Innovation Center Director. 


 

Student Director of Marketing Needed

The Innovation Challenge is looking for a student director of Social Media and Marketing. 

Our ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of and demonstrate appropriate use of social media, including but not limited to: Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and Linkedin.

To be successful, the student will be responsible for developing a marketing plan for updating the content in our social media regularly and consistently, aligning the messaging with the overall goals of the Innovation Challenge, the Innovation Center, and the Anderson College of Business, attracting and improving viewership and followership as well as creating and capturing content.

You will work with the student director and Innovation Center director in support of all events throughout the academic year so teamwork skills are a must. You will also assist in maintaining and updating a squarespace website. Graphic design and photography skills a plus.

A thorough understanding and desire to communicate with multiple audiences inside and outside of the university needed. A planner and go-getter wanted. This is like working in a startup. Marketing students, this is made to gain experience. Close attention to detail needed. Good written and oral communication required. A workstudy award for AY 19-20 desired.
