Build an innovative business that is desirable, feasible and viable


WHY

The Regis University Innovation Center wants students, faculty and staff to be successful. That is why the Anderson College of Business and the Innovation Center will host the inaugural Innovation Challenge. This year long lead up is a great opportunity to hone ideas, build teams and connect with potential investors. The Innovation Challenge is open to all Regis University students, faculty and staff however, all teams must contain at least one student.

 

WHAT

The three winners will walk away with $10K, $5K, $1K, and $1K and co-working space in the Innovation Center with exclusive high speed wifi and communicative technology. This is a great opportunity to tap into our alumni matrix network.


JUDGING CRITERIA

Desirability (30%)

Teams should clearly show how their business idea is innovative and different from what is currently available in the market. Does the business affect different customers, businesses regions, and sectors?

Feasibility (30%)

Has the team conducted proper research such as strictly identifying proper market fit? Does the team have the right skills and support to build and gain traction in the market place?

Viability (30%)

Has the team actually tested their business to see if the business is viable? Did the team make any prior sales, add clientele or bring in revenue? Has the team clearly explained next steps moving forward? What will the funding be used towards?

Presentation (10%)

Did the team successfully and compellingly explain how their idea will solve a problem and/or need? Prepare a 4-5 minute presentation with a slide deck.
